Structural Monitoring Solutions (SMS) was selected by FDOT for the Roosevelt Bridge Structural Monitoring Emergency Contract. Based on technical qualifications for a design, construction, and five-year monitoring contract, SMS competed against five highly qualified global teams. FDOT chose SMS’s cutting-edge fiber optic acoustic sensors and fiber optic strain sensor cables.

FDOT’s selection was based on five key abilities, Project Understanding and Approach, CM/GC and Project Relevant Experience, Relevant Experience of Key Personnel Proposed, Project Management Plan, and Staffing Plan.
